Strawberries...

Last weekend Philip and I took Josh across the James River to a farm in Surry County to pick strawberries. We met Philip's sister, Catherine, there and we had a great time picking 5 GALLONS of strawberries, and Philip and Catherine then enjoyed some homemade strawberry ice cream. YUM! Later that night, Emily and Aaron Block came over and Em and I spent time making strawberry jam. Emily took home 12 jars of jam and 1 1/2 gallons of strawberries for freezing and pie. I ended up with 2 jars of whole strawberries and nearly 40 jars of jam. Overkill? Maybe, but it's DANG good!!! MMMMMM!
