Adirondacks

We've been in the Adirondacks of New York since Saturday evening with two other Taylor University couples (and their kids). We left Speculator, NY this morning around 8:20 and walked into our house around 10:00 tonight.....our trip took about 2-2 1/2 hours longer on the way back than it did on the way up....we hate (HATE) D.C. traffic. Uuh! We took Philip's corolla, and I am proud to say that I did not stall the thing out at ALL this trip. Looks like Jen is getting a little better at driving the stick shift (though I am still very uncomfortable driving in traffic or construction. Hmmmm....highway driving it is for me then). Anyway, we had a great time with Russ, Renee and Andrea Boronow, and Adam, Amy and Wyatt Hannah. The kids (Andrea and Wyatt) are SO cute and I took tons of pictures of them. Enjoy!

Wyatt Hannah, the most hilarious 10 month old boy i've EVER met!

Had to get another of me and my hubby at the top...it's a beautiful view!

The beautiful view from the Boronow's home in the Adirondaks. It's absolutely gorgeous, as is the house! The next three pictures are of the guys on their day-trip to the high peaks. There are apparently 46 mountains in the Adirondaks that are higher than 4,000 feet above sea level. The guys did THREE of these mountains, plus one smaller one. My hubby is still sore, but had a blast hiking!

Andrea Boronow---she is so cute, I could just PINCH HER!

Roasting marshmallows for smores on the first day. Yum!

A view from the sometimes-cold lake where we fished, went swimming, sailing, etc.

We lit off fireworks until the ranger started going by in his boat looking for us. We didn't get caught, but we ended the fireworks show. They were awesome though!

Philip, beginning his exploration of a cave. You had to lie down and scoot yourself through a narrow opening. Needless to say, not a good thing for claustrophobics like me. Oh well.
