Today is your second birthday! You are 2! Daddy and I can hardly believe that it has been two years since you made your grand entrance into the world at 4:32 pm. You changed out lives forever and we cannot imagine life without you. You are such as sweet, energetic, caring, loving, inquisitive, smart, funny (etc) little boy and we love you so much.
On Saturday we had your birthday party and we had a lot of people here. You love fire trucks and we had a fire engine themed party. You loved all the attention and you seemed to really enjoy your party. You are one blessed little boy. You have so many people who love you and pray for you every day. Not all of those people could be with you at your party, but I guarantee you they wished they could be.
You are talking so much now and you crack us up when you say new things or copy your daddy and I when we say things. You are very opinionated and you know what you want, when you want it. I love that about you. You are very inquisitive yet very careful when it comes to things that are unfamiliar. You love your swimming lessons, though you are always a little unsure of things when you first get into the water. Once you get used to it though, you are quite the little fish!
You love to climb, you love to run, and you love to "jump" whenever you can. You spin, you dance, and you are all-around a happy little man. You absolutely adore books and would read them all day long if you could. We do let you watch tv (PBS or Disney Jr) when you eat your snacks during the day (if we're home) and you enjoy interacting with the characters on the tv programs. YOu especially love Elmo. :) Who wouldn't, right? :)
Joshua, you have such an amazing smile and your dimples melt my heart. YOu love giving hugs and kisses and you now come give them out at random times just because. I love this about you. You love your mommy, but now you especially have a bond with your daddy that is so fun to see. You get so excited whenever you see him come through the door after work. You are also very smart and you know when daddy is at work. You tell me throughout the day....you say "Daddy work." You are such a smart boy. You are also becoming very creative and you are starting to do more pretend play, which is so fun to see. You are also becoming a little problem solver and you enjoy trying to figure out how things work. You also LOVE Mere's iphone. YOu love watching yourself while she's taking videos of you. I guess I need to invest in a full-length mirror. I think that may occupy you for a long time. :)
Joshua, you are such a joy and we are so grateful and blessed beyond measure to have you in our lives. We love you so much and cannot wait to see who you become in this next year and beyond.
Love, Momma
