18 months--a bit late...

Josh is 18 months old now, and it's amazing all the new "tricks" he has up his sleeve each day.

Words:
Josh has a TON of words that he is saying now, and it seems like he comes up with new ones every day. His vocabulary includes:
hot, please (puh), more please (puh puh--with hand signals), up, off, doggie (doddie), momma, dada, fish (fissss), truck (cuck), hi, oh no, oh my!...i'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Tricks:
CLIMBING! Josh has become quite the climber now...which is currently driving me crazy as he has absolutely NO fear of falling and has me chasing him all over the place all day long. He also loves trying to go up and down stairs when he can.

Josh absolutely LOVES his daddy and lights up as soon as Philip comes home from work. He knows his sister's name and pats his (or mommy's) tummy when asked where his baby sister is. Hopefully it'll sink in that baby sister is no longer in mommy's tummy once she makes her grand entrance--which will hopefully be sooner rather than later!

Josh is currently in the 50th percentile in weight and 75th in height. I know the doctor can't make an "accurate" estimation until age two, but he said at his most recent appointment that he guessed Josh would be 6'1" and lean....sounds like his daddy! :)
Josh wears size 18-24 month clothes, size 6 shoes and size 4 diapers. They sure do look very big next to the newborn/size 1 diapers his little sister will be wearing!
Josh is also starting to show early signs of potty training readiness...SO, the potty chair has officially entered the house and Josh is getting used to sitting on it (with clothes on) at the moment. Later on we'll buckle down and really get to work...but I think mommy needs to get used to two kiddos before we potty train! We're also waiting for a couple months after baby girl is born before we move the crib into her room and put Josh in a big boy bed. Don't want him feeling like he's being kicked out of his bed. :) Hopefully the big boy bed will be a hit when the time comes.
